What I want for Grover Beach
I am running for the District 1 seat on the Grover Beach City Council because I believe our community deserves leadership that is accountable, thoughtful, and focused on the people who live here.
Too many important decisions have been driven by the City Manager and Staff instead of the City Council. It’s the Council that is responsible for providing oversight and representing the residents of Grover Beach. We have seen costly vanity projects, including the “experiment” on Newport Street, while many residents feel their voices are not being heard.
I strongly support responsible, controlled growth and development that protects the character of our community. Growth can happen without compromising existing standards and regulations to accommodate builders and developers that have no vested interest in the long-term future of Grover Beach.
Measure Twice - Cut Once
Our City also needs better financial planning and more responsible spending. A healthy budget should prepare the City for unexpected expenses instead of leaving taxpayers concerned about wasteful projects and poor planning.
Most importantly, I want to help the City Council of Grover Beach become a better neighbor to the people who call this community home. City government should listen, communicate honestly, and work for its residents first.
I would be honored to earn your vote this November.
