You’ve Got A Friend
One of the most important elements of any transaction is the financing. Working with a lender that is knowledgable is key. Working with one that has the right loan product for your needs at the best market rate is truly valuable. However, I’ve found that all of those mean little if communication is lacking. If I have to chase the lender down to get find out when the appraisal was ordered – that’s not a good thing. If the lender’s processor or underwriter asks a question they can’t answer, and I don’t hear about it for a day or two – that’s really bad. Your Purchase Agreement is a ticking clock with the meter running and no time to waste! There are strict obligations in the Contract that must be met and a good lender understands this. A truly great lender has a relationship with your agent and knows that they can call at almost any time, day or night, to resolve every concern. That’s the relationship that I have with Teresa Coelho Halvorson. Teresa and I have worked so closely that she knows I want to hear from her the instant she becomes aware of any issue or concern. Why? So we can find resolution immediately and keep the transaction moving forward for our mutual client. You are our first priority and we share the responsibility in keeping you informed and providing the best service possible.
Tennessee - on my mind
I recently visited Nashville, Tennessee and some of the surrounding areas. I had the good fortune of connecting with Susan Hoag, a Realtor associated with The Wilson Group in Nashville. It was simply meant to be! I was spending an afternoon Downtown avoiding Broadway and I decided to find a real estate office. I seriously couldn’t find an office near where I was staying. I took a chance and went into a commercial building and asked the gentleman at the front desk. He told me that there was a commercial real estate/development office upstairs. Lucky me! I met Susan’s husband Brandon and he gave me business card. We’ve had many conversations and I know that she has the same values that I do when it comes to caring about her clients.
I’ve recently had clients move to Tennessee that came without finding an agent and bought a home sight-unseen. They have discovered that they have to do a lot more work than anticipated (even though they hired a home inspector before making the final offer). If I had been able to refer them to Susan, they would have had a trusted resource to guide them to the perfect property.
